PerusioComing to the App Store

Read closely —
without reading all of it.

Perusio summarizes long PDFs and answers your questions on-device, with every answer traced to the exact page.

This Agreement renews automatically for successive one-year terms unless either party gives notice. To prevent renewal, the Provider shall give ninety (90) days’ notice prior to renewal, in writing. Either party may terminate early for cause if a material breach is not cured within thirty days. On each renewal, annual fees may rise by up to 4% per year, and no more.

The document is long. Your time isn’t.

Contracts, reports, papers, manuals — the answer you need is in there, buried on page 40. The usual fix is to hand the file to a cloud tool that uploads your document to a server you don’t control and, too often, invents an answer that sounds right. You’re left trusting a summary you can’t check.

Perusio takes the opposite approach. It reads the whole thing on your phone, answers in plain words, and shows you the exact page every answer came from.

read · answer · cite

Read, answer, cite.

Three steps, and you never lose the thread back to the source.

  1. Read the whole thing

Open a PDF and Perusio reads all of it, then hands you a plain-language summary of what the document actually says.

Revenue grew across all three regions this quarter, led by a 38% increase in the Pacific segment on stronger enterprise demand.

  2. Ask in plain words

Ask what you actually want to know — “what’s the payment window?” — and get a direct answer drawn from the text, not a guess.

Payment for all undisputed invoices is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date, after which interest accrues at the stated rate.

  3. Tap the citation

Every answer carries its citation. Tap it to jump straight to the page and line it came from, and read it in context.

the differentiator

Private by default.

Perusio runs on your iPhone using Apple Intelligence. Your document is read where it lives — on your phone — and the answers are built there too. Nothing is stored, nothing is logged, and there’s no account to create.

On-device — free
Everything the on-device model can handle happens on your phone and never leaves it. No connection needed.
Cloud — only if you choose it
Some files — a scanned contract, a few-hundred-page manual — are too heavy for on-device processing. For those, you can opt in to send that one file to a third-party cloud service. Perusio always asks first and names exactly where it’s going. You’re never sent there by default.

Every answer shows its work.

Perusio only answers from what’s actually in your document. Each answer is grounded in the text and linked to the page it came from, so you can check it in a single tap.

And when the document doesn’t contain the answer, Perusio says so — “not in this document” — instead of inventing one. No confident guesses. No invented clauses.

Built for people who live in long documents.

If your day involves reading things other people wrote — and being held to what they say — Perusio is for you.

Questions

Does my document leave my phone?

For most documents, no — Perusio reads and answers right on your iPhone. A document too long for on-device processing is handled by Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which by Apple’s published design isn’t retained or accessible to Apple. Your file only goes to third-party cloud processing if you explicitly opt in for a heavy or scanned document — and even then, Perusio asks first and names where it’s going.

Does it work offline?

Yes — on-device answering works with no connection at all. A connection is only needed when a document is too long for on-device processing (handled by Apple’s Private Cloud Compute) or when you opt in to third-party cloud processing for a heavy or scanned file.

Which iPhones are supported?

iPhone 15 Pro and newer. Perusio relies on Apple Intelligence, which is only available on those devices.

What languages does it support?

English at launch. More languages are planned.

What data do you store about me?

Perusio itself stores nothing about you — no account, no history, nothing about what you read or ask. It’s fire-and-forget: your documents, questions, and answers stay on your device and are discarded when you close them. If you opt in to cloud processing for a specific heavy or scanned document, that one file is sent to the named third-party providers and handled under their policies — Perusio sends it for processing only and keeps no copy.
